How does Nexicom High Speed Dial-up work?
  • Nexicom High Speed Dial-up uses a software program called Accelerator that runs on your Windows machine. Web page requests are routed to the Nexicom's server, which then delivers web content in a highly compressed and optimized form. You can expect to see 2-4 times speed-up on your regular dial-up connection.
When can I use Nexicom High Speed Dial-up?
  • Whenever you are connecting to the Internet to surf, you will benefit from using the Accelerator. You will be asked to provide your Nexicom username and password once, to gain access to the Nexicom High-Speed Dial-up service.
Can I use my regular MS Internet Explorer browser with Nexicom High Speed Dial-up?
  • The Nexicom Accelerator icon on your desktop will automatically launch your regular Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. You will not have to re-configure any of your previous web-browser settings. All your settings, preferences, bookmarks and history will be preserved. If you launch MS Internet Explorer without clicking on the the Accelerater icon, it will not utilize accelerator. You must launch Explorer by clicking the Accelerator icon.
Can I use my Netscape Navigator, Mozilla or Opera browser with Nexicom High-Speed Dial-up?
  • Yes, the newest version of the Accelerator now allows you to use whichever browser you want with you any further setup.
